Border Crossing Emergency Simulation

International Organization for Migration (IOM) | May-Aug 2017

InterWorks designed, developed and facilitated a full-day simulation exercise (conducted August 2017) on massive displacement and border crossing for IOM Armenia and their national government counterparts. The exercise consists of government emergency and immigration officials, border guards, and displaced persons roles, simulating distinct phases of a border crossing emergency involving large population movement, up to about 15,000 over a 1-2-week period (e.g., early alert and contingency planning, early arrivals, large influx, recording/registration, identification, and referral of special protection cases).
