InterWorks co-facilitated a technical workshop with IIEP and the Jordanian Ministry of Education (MoE) on strengthening education sector planning and management capacities in early July 2019.
The four-day workshop took place in Jordan’s northern city of Irbid and brought together around 60 education planners, supervisors, managers and decentralization committee representatives from four governorates – Irbid, Jerash, Aljoun and Mafraq.
The workshop provided a unique opportunity for local education planners to strengthen their planning skills by linking the country’s national Education Strategic Plan (2018-2022) objectives with local strategies as part of the School and Directorate development plans. Participants exchanged experiences among central, governorate and field directorate education experts, which included critical discussions of challenges and good practices in operational planning to ensure that every child receives a quality education.
