InterWorks facilitated a workshop that was developed and implemented by the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) with support from UNHCR. Held in Nakhon, Pathom, Thailand from 4-8 December 2006, the overall objective of the workshop was to further ASEAN’s disaster preparedness goals by agreeing on a medium-term framework of disaster preparedness capacity development activities and a realistic schedule for their implementation.
It has resulted in the most useful outcome of any event I have ever attended – this can be used as a benchmark for many workshops that we might look into.
