InterWorks supported UNHCR in delivering this remote online training to enhance staff capacities to support emergency preparedness and response operations in Peru and in the LAC region from July 20 – August 5 2020.
The Emergency Induction Training was delivered remotely through live online platform to enhance the capacities of UNHCR-Peru staff encompassing diverse range of functional competence to support UNHCR’s Peru’s Operation emergency preparedness and response. The EIT was organized jointly by UNHCR Peru, UNHCR Regional Bureau in Panama, UNHCR DESS Geneva and UNHCR Global Development and Learning Center/EMLU in Budapest, with support from InterWorks. The training included pre-training assignments, analysis of a case study and a series of live webinars. Topics for the training included protection, registration, emergency supply, Sphere technical sectors and standards (in urban settings), relations with the media, safety and security, negotiation, working in emergency teams, stress management and self-care and others.
