Deanne Shulman

Deanne Shulman has over 35 years experience with emergency management and international development working primarily with the U.S. government in partnership with other governments, United Nation agencies, and non-profit organizations. Her extensive background includes operational aspects of fire suppression and service on Incident Management Teans in the US. Internationally, Deanne has designed and managed long-term capacity building partnership programs focusing on disaster management. She has developed training, instructed courses, conducted after-action reviews, designed and implemented large scale simulation exercises, provided technical assistance for enhancement of disaster management systems, and responded to international crisis under the aupices of the USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. Deanne has worked in 27 countries primarily in Asia and Africa.
