InterWorks facilitated the Workshop on Emergency Management (WEM) for the Emergency Response Team (ERT) roster in Thiès, Senegal from 3-13 March 2020. Overall coordination, planning and administration of the workshop were handled by the UNHCR Global Learning & Development Centre (GLDC) which administers the WEM on behalf of the Division of Emergency, Security and Supply (DESS) Emergency Services (ES) section. For IOM Nepal, Interworks developed a 3-day training including 1.5 days of simulation focusing on camp coordination and camp management. This project was conceived as part of IOM Nepal’s efforts to build the capacity of its partners in the Nepali Security Forces to support CCCM coordination and camp management, in response to a rapid onset natural disaster, in this case, a major earthquake scenario. InterWorks conducted a three-day Tajikistan Refugee Emergency Preparedness Field Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 10-12 April 2018. The exercise supported the overall eCentre mandate to support the UNHCR regional strategy for preparedness for possible refugee emergencies in Central Asia. Read more
