This WEM Face-to-Face (WEMF2F) is part of the WEM blended learning process which includes: (1) preworkshop self-study, (2) attendance at a 4-day live virtual WEM training conducted via Zoom from 3-6 October 2023, and (3) the 7 day field-based face-to-face (F2F) WEM training course which was conducted from 9-15 November in Brindisi, Italy at the UN Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) in Brindisi, managed by WFP.
The WEMF2F was organized in Neuhausen, Germany from 15-21 October 2023 for 36 WEMers. Hosting arrangements for the WEMF2F were provided by the German Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk – Ortsverband (THW) in Neuhausen.

InterWorks facilitated the return of the long-running WEM workshop to a live in-person event after two years of remote WEM Online (WEMO) events. It was a component of the current overall WEM training package which, in this format, included, self-study, an online training and discussion component (WEMO) and field-based hands-on workshop. The WEMF2F was organized in Starum, Norway from 11 – 17 June 2022 for 40 WEMers.
